Harden Custom Cabinets

Taking care of your cabinets may be simpler than you think. As with any product made of wood, a few moments of care can go a long way in keeping your cabinets looking new. The following are a few suggestions when caring for your cabinets.

- Clean cabinets when needed with a mild soap and water and dry well using a lint-free cloth.

- Give special attention to areas that come in contact with water, such as the sink and dishwasher.

- Clean up spills and water spots as they occur to safeguard your cabinets in the long run.

- Use cleaners and polishes designed specifically for wood cabinets and clean surfaces when needed.

Common kitchen Cabinet Accidents

When removing a spot, start at the outer edge and work towards the middle to prevent the spot from spreading.

Greasy Spots on Custom Cabinets

Rub grease spots with a wet cloth. Use only polishes and cleaners designed for wood cabinets and clean regularly or when needed.

Chewing Gum / Candle Wax
Use a plastic bag filled with ice and place it on the gum or wax until it is brittle enough to come off. Then use polishes and cleaners designed for wood to clean off the remainder of the deposit.

Scratches on Harden Cabinets

Most scratches can be fixed by rubbing the area with a fine sandpaper until scratch is removed. Re-stain with a Color Matched Touch Up Stain and then apply a light coat of Clear Sealer Finish.
